Voted best new winemaker in the Côte Chalonnaise, Felix Debavelaere and his mother Anne-Sophie have been producing wines since 1984 with a cellar dating back to 1800’s.
Nestled in the heard of Burgundy in Rully, near the villages of Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault.
The domaine started with one hectare in 1984 of land and over the years the estate has expanded and now includes 11 hectares divided among seven “climats”.
The Chaponières is on on average of 50 years of old vines, planted on clay and limestone, the wines are fresh and delicate.
Domaine Michel Lafarge, Bourgogne Passetoutgrain l’ Exception, Burgundy, France 2020

Michel Lafarge was one of the greatest winemakers in modern Burgundy history, he sadly passed away in January 2020 at the age of 91. The domaine now is run by his son Frédéric and granddaughter Clothide, is rightly hailed as one of the finest estates in Volnay. The domaine is farmed biodynamically, using eco-friendly resources including a band of travelling chickens to eat vineyard pest and a horse to plough between their 10 hectares of vines.
The vineyards are planted on some of the best sites in Volnay and their winemaking is sensitive but traditional with small amount of new oak used to allow the wines finesse to shine through. The result is some of the finest-made and longest-lived wines in Burgundy.

Guy Roulot, a legendary producer of some of the finest Meursault’s, if not some of the world’s finest white wines, took his family’s small production domaine to stardom. After the sudden death in 1982, his son Jean-Marc took over the domaine in 1989, in mid time there was series of three winemakers.
Jean-Marc has been successful in fine-tuning the domaine’s style. Their elegance and amazing precision lend themselves to long aging in the cellars.
Jean-Marc loves cooking and believes the strong mineral backbone of his wines and their fresh acidity marry well with food.
Domaine Marquis D’ Angerville, 1er Cru Volnay, Burgundy, France 2020

The domaine started bottling its own production in the 1920s. Today the estate is led by Guillaume D’Angerville, farmed immaculately, and is producing some of the best wines in the region. The style has always been described as “pure, terroir specific, elegant and intense”.
All the 1er Cru vineyards are based on marl-limestone scree, ideally exposed to the south-east.
The estate is farmed biodynamically since 2006.
The Volnay 1er Cru is made from two parcels in the Volnay Premier Cru appellation which total almost one hectare, Les Mitans and Les Pitures.
